This is what we expect our guest to have on our ski touring tours:

- skis, poles, skins, and boots (all this can be rented at Sportscenteret)
- avalanche beacon, probe and shovel (we have 6 sets for rental)
- a backpack which contains minimum 25 L, preferable 40L.
- warm clothing (wool), mid layers and shell/wind cover outer most.
- down jacket /woolen sweater
- mittens, gloves, buff and hat
- goggle and sun glasses

Other:

- ski, snowmobile or motorbike helmet if you wish (needed on snowmobile tours but usually provided by the rental company)
- a cold bottle of water if you prefer
- a small sitting pad is nice to have

Backyard Svalbard provides the following:

- safety equipment
- first aid kit
- food snacks, cutlery, cups and thermoses (this will be distributed among the participants)
