No, these tours are 100% on sea to give the best view to the Arctic landscape and wildlife

Since wildlife is wild we can never guarantee that we will spot this but most likely we will see a lot of seabirds, and have the possibility of spotting whales like Beluga, as well as walrusses and seals.

The weather can be cold during summer in Svalbard with temperatures ranging from 0°C to +10°C. Especially when you are on a boat trip in an open boat the wind can be cold.

We highly recommend booking your expedition in advance as we only have 12 spots for each tour. Early booking guarantees your spot so you do not miss this adventure.

You will borrow a full-body floatation suit, life jacket and goggles from us, but we recommend that you dress well underneath. You need to dress in warm layers (wool is best) and don’t forget mittens, buff and a warm hat. You can also experience some sea spray, so we recommend packing camera equipment in a waterproof bag. We are not responsible for any damage that may occur to your personal equipment during the trip.

Safety is our highest priority, and the guide needs to be able to communicate and give instructions that you understand. To participate in this tour, it is therefore required that you speak and understand English.

Your safety is our priority. If weather conditions make the boat trip too dangerous, the guide will assess the situation and may need the reschedule the time or date. If you will not be able to participate on the new date then we will give you a full refund. Please note that you will not get a full refund if you decide to cancel.

For the RIB boat tours you will not have access to a toilet for the hours you are on the tour so please make sure to do so before departure.

For the private polarcircle boat tour you will be able to go ashore on the tour.

Solo travelers are welcome! We need a minimum of participants to run the tour but if you book there is a higher chance others will book too. If we need to cancel the tour due to the minimum not being reached then you will get a full refund.

No, the tour is not suitable if you have back pain or are pregnant.

Yes, you can participate if you are arriving with a cruise ship. Please make sure to book in advance as boat trips have a tendency to fill up fast.
